Merve Hasman is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, creative director, filmmaker and writer whose work explores the intersection of visual storytelling, craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression.

Born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1983 and raised between cultures, she has developed an international creative practice that spans photography, digital art, painting, embroidery, video and sculptural design.

Her artistic education began at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy, where she studied the history and theory of photography, before continuing at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the United States, focusing on the technical and evolving dimensions of the medium. She completed her studies in Fine Art Photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York, one of the world's leading institutions for visual arts education. Following her studies, Merve gained invaluable professional experience working alongside renowned photographer and filmmaker Steven Klein in New York. She subsequently moved to London, where she collaborated with photographer Sandro Sodano on a number of high-profile international projects, including the official imagery for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Torch and Medals, as well as campaigns for leading fashion and lifestyle brands.

Over the course of her career, Merve has exhibited her work through private exhibitions and international art fairs, including events in Rome and Barcelona, while continuing to undertake commissioned creative work for a diverse portfolio of clients. In 2012, she created Instant Split, Turkey's first photography-based television series, sponsored by Canon, further expanding her practice into broadcast media and creative direction. She has since directed advertising campaigns and special projects for international brands and institutions including Del Rio London, Ümit Benan, Braun, Vakko and The Edition Hotel.

At the heart of Merve's work is a deep curiosity about the ways in which images shape perception, memory and emotion. Working fluidly across disciplines and mediums, she creates distinctive visual experiences that combine technical precision with artistic sensitivity. Her practice is defined by a continual process of exploration, pushing creative boundaries while maintaining a strong commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship and storytelling. Today, Merve continues to develop bespoke artistic works and creative projects internationally, drawing inspiration from everyday encounters, cultural narratives and the transformative power of imagination.
